Columbia’s Glass Curtain Gallery hosts a daring cross-cultural exchange

Why would a group of women lug photographs, videos and mixed-media installations through a war zone? To collaborate on an exhibition with eight Palestinian colleagues, the members of U.S.-based feminist artist collective 6+ carried art past countless gun-toting soldiers at West Bank military checkpoints. After stops in Bethlehem, Ramallah, East Jerusalem and Boulder, Colorado, their groundbreaking group show “Secrets” comes to Columbia College Chicago’s Glass Curtain Gallery through April 25. click to continue reading
